What Modem or ISDN card do I need
for Linux or NTserver?
Not all modems work in all operating systems, this should explain what's needed and
recommended.

| LINUX | only ISA non-pnp modems OR any EXTERNAL modem | ||
| NT WORKSTATION | any modem(isa/pci/win/soft).internal or external | ||
| NT SERVER |
In order of a recommendation: A) ISA non-pnp (low CPU overhead) |

| B) EXTERNAL any. (low CPU overhead) | |||
| C) PCI and soft modems. Will work, with suitable drivers, but due to the processor load of them (upto 8%) they are not recommended for BUSY servers. |
