Some models have remote control

This card requires a bus mastering PCI slot to operate, if you have a problem with the card being detected please consult your computer system documentation to check which slots provide bus mastering capability. Many issues with cards not being detected can be resolved by simply inserting the card into a different PCI slot. Do not attempt to manually install the drivers for this card as this has a low success rate, it is far more beneficial to solve any issues with inactive drivers as outlined in the section - Checking for and removing inactive drivers.

If the card was present in the system during a Windows 9x installation then an inactive driver will have been installed preventing the card from being detected. This entry must be removed as outlined in the section - Checking for removing inactive drivers.

This will remove any inactive drivers which are preventing the card from being detected.

• Start the system in safe mode, hold shift before the Windows 95/98 (it says Starting Windows 9x) boot sequence begins.
• Once the system is running enter Control Panel è System è Device Manager
• Check the Sound Video and Game Controllers category and remove any entries referring to MM100PCTV (highlight and click remove).
• Once complete, check for the presence of the category Other Devices and remove any devices listed within it called PCI Multimedia Device.

Once all the drivers have been removed, restart the system so that the card can be detected and installed correctly.

• No Suitable DirectDraw provider available, overlay mode disabled
• This problem is almost exclusively caused by DirectX 5 or higher not being installed or the systems VGA drivers not being DirectX 5 or higher compliant. To solve the problem, install DirectX 5 or higher and DirectX 5 or higher compliant drivers for your system's VGA card. DirectX 5 is available on the distribution disk with the product, later versions can be obtained from Microsoft. VGA drivers can be obtained from the manufacturer of the card, links to popular card manufacturers can be found in the compatibility listing
• Error BT848, Capture Device not found
• Commonly this problem is due to the card not having sufficient resources to operate, to check this:
• Open Control Panel è System è Device Manager
• Double-click on Computer
• Check that the card is listed next to a number (IRQ) e.g. 10 and that no other device except IRQ HOLDER FOR PCI STEERING or UNIVERSAL SERIAL BUS CONTROLLER is listed against the same number
• If an IRQ is not given for the card or it is using the same IRQ as another card (conflicting) then you may have insufficient resources to run the card. To check this, follow the advice in the section - Checking for resources. If you do have a lack of resources or a conflict, you can try removing another card temporarily so that the TV Tuner can be installed.
• In rare cases, the card may be configured correctly, but the error is being caused by a VGA card/motherboard incompatibility, please consult the compatibility listing, to check this. If you are unsure as to which card/board you have then please consult your system documentation.

If you have a generic system with an Award or AMI BIOS dated then a list of PCI devices will be declared at the beginning of the boot sequence along with the IRQ that they have been assigned. By pressing Pause when this is displayed, you may view what IRQs are in use and hopefully which IRQ is assigned to the TV card. If a duplicate as been assigned then it is most likely that the system has insufficient IRQs to support the card. If an IRQ that is not used by any other device is assigned to the TV card then the system has sufficient resources.

This problem is caused by either an interrupt conflict or a Direct Draw problem (VGA card), please refer to either the notes on resolving DirectDraw problems or checking for resources. If that advice fails to resolve the issue with the card then check the compatibility listing for any known problems with your VGA card or motherboard.

The remote sensor must be connected to the card when the drivers and software are installed.
